OK, as everybody knows, there is a compatibility in some features in msn 5.0 with windows messenger as far as the emoticons is concerned.

in msn 6.0, there is an option that allows you to add new emoticons..... that means that the emoticons are send from the computer that sends them even if the pc that received them does not have them.... am i right?

if that is the case.... is there any possibility to do that in the previous versions and especially in 4.7 version?

is there any specific directory that has the emoticons?

thanks anyway.....

Good question :)

I just tried it here and it sends the text instead of the emoticon, does the same for both the new v6.0 emoticons and self created ones.

I beleive if you have MSN 6 and try to post a custom smile it won't send to a user/buddy with anything below MSN 6.

Yup, as I said, it just sends the ascii / text representation of it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
