I would LOVE to edit my windows xp error messages, i have resource hacker, but have no idea where the files are. Can any tell me if there is a central location where all of them are stored?

Why would you want to do that? You could always do a screen grab of the error message in question and change it in a photo editing program. For example MS Paint!!

My god man...you must be bored.

Lol, i would just like to do it, anyone help me here?

No centralized place for error messages. You'll have to search. Most of them are Dialog resources inside .exe or more often .dll files. Any specific one you want to change?

Would rather try to solve problems than make error messages prettier. :p

Well the one that says "Windows has encountered an unkown error while running this application" or something like that.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
