What is this file that is always on the task list?
Seems like it is located under the soundblaster directory. Every time I select 'end task' on the ask manager, it pops up again.

What does this file do?

It does have to do with your soundblaster card. It is for "high definition" audio for games and such. You can read up on it here .

EAX is basically a way of saying advanced reverb and echoing, it takes advantage of multiple speaker setups, you can turn it off in your creative menu in all program, under sound blaster audigy.
