I’m far from an expert ,it’s been recommended to me on this forum to use EAC for recording my CD’S .my question is what player is best & how can I use EAC to play back my music cd’s I have put on my harddrive?
I’ve been using wmp & I’m looking to get better quality music files.

That guide will help you out - Eac dose'nt play mp3's it only plays cd's. If you want to play the mp3's use winamp ...

EAC takes the songs from the CD an saves them as mp3, the mp3's are saved to your hard drive, winamp then play the mp3's just like a normal CD.

Seems like that would depend on how/what you used to encode them with.

Although many rave abour EAC, I've found CDex to be the best one stop, ready to go app. Lame (along with OGG and more) are already installed and ready to go. The Lame -alt- preset standard gives great results and can simply be chosen (along with all the presets) from settings. Nothing extra to install, no external set-ups required.

Cdex is very a very nice prog .. I like it alot, when I don't use EAC that is the one I use ..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
