Ok.. I'll try and explain....

I have this video card and up till now I was using a 17" crt monitor @ 1280 x 1024 res.

Lately I upgraded the monitor to this monitor that supports 1920 x 1200 res.

When I use the system with VGA cable it's all good, WinXP & Win7 can use the that res.

When I use the DVI cable they can both use the res, but in WinXP the 1920 x 1200 is way bigger then my 24" screen, like about 8". Win7 uses it just fine.

I spent hours trying to figure this out... I'm failing.........

Any help?

Sounds like some sort of over scan issue? Have you check the settings for that?
Also try tweaking the underscan settings (on adapter scaling).

The only place I can see where to make any adjustments to scaling is in the Nvidia Control Panel. In the control panel I only get 4 options to try and none of them are what we need. It seems like this scaling area of the control panel is if I want to fill a screen that won't let me go full screen.

One more thing, the screen adjustments in the monitor menu are all grayed out. Like I can't adjust the width or height or offset.

But if I go back to the VGA cable everthing works fine..... I may have to go back.....

Some screens mis-report their size to windows. Use the nvidia control panel to resize the desktop :)

There was a bug with DVI resizing try changing your drivers :)

@LA - I don't make no diff if I use the control panel.. Same thing.

Ok I'll try finding different drivers.

Well I give up, tried every driver I could find on the net for my card...... I guess I'll go back to the VGA cable. I'll have to own up it's time for a new graphics card... Thanks for the tips guys.. I appreciate it. Cheers..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
