my monitor and grapgics card both have DVi but how do i get to work from the card to the monitor?

just have to use the cable that has the dvi output from the monitor and plug it into the dvi input on the video card...

thats it :)

can you post system specs.. incl tft... video card... driver revisions ?

will help us to better pinpoint the problem :)

thanks..

it should work..

does the product work fine using the VGA adapter?

if it does you may have a problem with either the adapter or or the cable... perhaps even the video cards dvi adapter...

vga works great just curious about the difference in picture quality
is there a windows settin i need to change maybe?

not sure about the control panel for nvidia cards but you should be able to set an alternate frequency tab as checked ...

there are differences in picture sharpness/clarity and it helps for gaming...

if you have any friends with dvi cables or can actually bring their rigs over or you can take your monitor to them... you can eliminate differnet things like wther its the cable... the card... the adapter or whatever...

are you switching the cable while the comp is on? make sure you're doing it while it's off and don't leave the vga cable hooked up. just have the dvi cable in place and turn it on and it should work.

worked like a charm the picture quality is awesome. big thanks to taurus sending you a million dollar check, just don't cash it till 2035.

now when i play games the monitor goes on and then off over and over again, do i need to change the game setting?

there should be an option to alternate dvi frequency... it sometimes works to clear up some problems...

is the monitor just going on and off or is it changing resolutions?

the light goes form green to amber back to green over and over again

have you tried alternating the dvi frequency? through the control panel...

I am not sure if it will help but it is supposed to help with anomalies...

make sure you don't still have the old analog monitor drivers installed. there should be digital ones or at least make sure it says "plug and play monitor".

next thing would be to set all your refresh rates to 60hz. this includes any in the directx portion of your video settings.

ok it says digital but i still have the problem. should i uninstall all the drivers and start from scratch?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
