DVD drive problems

Hey everyone, I just got a new computer (see my sig) and for some reason, my dvd drive doesn't wanna work properly. Power DVD just wont play dvds correctly, WinDVD will play them, but they freeze after every chapter. I sent an email to windvd, but ofcourse, they wont write back... does anyone else have any suggestions for me? ANything would be greatly appreataitated(sp?)

It's hard to diagnose problems like that, you can try and see if there are any firmware updates to your DVD player, make sure DMA is enabled if availible, un-install then re-install it...basically just run through the normal not working procedures one by one..also try using WMP and see if that plays them back
