DVD and Media Player

I thought the Media player could play dvd's? When I attempt to play a dvd, I get a message saying that I don't have the correct codec. Where can I get the correct codec?

Have you downloaded the media bonus pack from the downloads section here? I think that might have the codec...I know if ti doesn't you can search on google for DVD+windows+media+player and find it...mine peronsally started working after I installed powerdvd since it just grabs to codec once it sees one is installed

Thanks guys. I installed PowerDVD and everything is well. Now my mom is happy she can watch dvd's on her laptop 😉
