Dual Monitors

Not sure where to post this
Anyway, I'm having a problem domesticating a laptop.
I wish to connect it to a bigger CRT monitor and use that monitor insteat of the laptops own.
I have found a way to turn off the LCD monitor of the laptop through the display settings, but every time I restart the PC both monitors turn on, and I have to turn the LCD one off, every time I turn the computer on (Talk about bad phrasing )

Anyone know how I can only the CRT montior to display anything?

Different types of laptops have different ways to do this, usually through the display properties>advanced settings. Maybe take a look into the user's manual.

I should realy try more before asking, the problem was in the bios.
