Dual Boot - Removing the first OS.

Hi All,

I have 3 HDDs, 2 with operating systems.
1(C) has Win2000 pro
2(E) has WinXP .

The boot stuff is on the C drive, I'd like to remove Win2000 now that I'm reasonably happy with XP. How do I get the boot setup to run from the other drive and remove the C drive.

I've searched about but found nothing. Could be either too trivial or too tricky.

Boot pc and go to set up (del key) and change your boot sequence form C to E. That should do it.

Back up your important data to another drive or something first.

I think the way I'd 'try' to fix it would be to remove the 'c:' drive, make the XP drive the c: drive, boot to the XP setup cd, run the recovery console and using the 'fixboot' command. Here's a link to a thread with more information on the recovery console:
