Whenever I connect to DSL I get like 100.0 MBPS. I'm not sure its right... Can anyone tell me why they show me that i'm connected to 100.0 MBPS?

that's the speed of the ethernet passing from your computer to the DSL device (modem?router?)

other speed is the outbound connection from your DSL device to the internet

highly doubt it

it's not really running at 100mbps, think about it in the first place your dsl provider gave you an advertised speed connection which is roughly about 768/140 (down/up) kbps to say the least. not even 1Mbps. i have a home network of 3 pc's my router detects 100Mbps too, but i highly doubt it.

you can go Control+Alt+Del and check your Networking and it'll tell you how much percentage of the slink speed you are using. and you do the math, and get the idea how fast it is.

100 MBS is the maximum transfer rate available, tipically the operating system do not fill all available bandwidth with a single connection in order to leave room to other connections (ie inbound and outbound LAN traffic with multiple machine simultaneously)

dabomb how do u do screenshot of ony active application? or u just cut off the rest?

press alt + printscreen on the box that u want to take a screenshot of

thanks for the tip. and ya that 1394 is firewire, i use it to get movies from my camcorder to computer

so i have firewire? i havent a clue what its doing on my comp lol

u know it's like this weird looking usb port. i got mine in the front of computer with 2 usb ports. got total of 4usb,1firewire,1serial. :)

but still 400Mbps is pretty fast

yeah i have 2 usb ports at the front of my comp and 4 at the back .....

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
