Drive Image versions to 7

I have drive image pro, used it before to make a monster backup, then found it didn't work as instructions should.

Being a bit thick, was wondering if a user could run a tutorial on the acts below.

1) create an image on hidden partition or another HD.
2) write to a cd instructions to initiate backup.
3) add extra files to back up over a period of time.

I say this as when I bought this HD it had windows xp home edition installed upon it in a hidden partition. Thus on serious errors you just boot from recovery disk, when prompted to restore back up (factory settings) you type in upper case 'yes' and it then copied entire backup over current system. Or I spose deleted them all and the replaced it with back up.

NO SMART ANSWERS LIKE 'USE NORTON GHOST'; 'USE GO BACK'; 'USE SYSTEM RESTORE' ETC.......

I soon will buy a 80 gig HD as even though this one works fine, makes me think that if a good tutorial can be created then I will be able to save time and effort having to keep restring backups and also finding that some backups have become corrupt, which means, starting from scratch all over again.

GOT THE GUTS AND KNOWLEDGE THEN SHARE, thanks in advance.

Ok no smart answers like Norton Ghost because its about as easiest and fast as it gets when backing up a hard drive. Takes about five minutes to Backup or Restore and reboot. Not that I'm a Norton guy because I'm not. I usually copy C:\ to drive to D:\ where I keep my C:\ drive Ghost image and every couple weeks or so I "Backup" my drive (If all is working well that is) and I use "Restore" if I run into any significant conflicts. But you don't want to hear about Ghost so you want some tutorials.

Your CD drive software should have some tutorial information in your directory on making an ISO image of your hard drive?

I have norton ghost 2003 o.e.m. never used it just when you talk about specific software, lamers start telling you to use other software with a big ha ha.

I spose I can give Norton Ghost a whizz, if you stick a few ideas up as I have never used it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
