We’re happy to announce that the boxed/retail PC version of Dragon Age: Origins will use only a basic disk check and it will not require online authentication. In other words, the retail PC version of the game won’t require you to go online to authenticate the game for offline play. We have chosen not to use SecuROM in any version of Dragon Age that is distributed by EA or BioWare.

Enjoy!

These days I don't really care one way or another. It's a stupid fight that either with this or something else will always be here.

Glad to see stuff like this happening personally. Securom is annoying but the activation based stuff is plain awful especially the spore and the like which was 7 installations? To be honest the only online activation which I thought was any cop was the steam one.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
