I was just wondering if there was a way to resume downloads in winxp prof. (without using gozilla or getright or any other programs like that)

Anyone know ?

the only time that IE 6 with natively resume a download is if for some reason other then the cancel button being hit that the download was terminated and that the portion that was downloaded is still sitting in the local setting/internet temp files...if IE 6 finds the partial file in it's temp listing and you start to download it the same way you first did it will resume the download....

problems is sometimes on a loss of connection or download termination the temp download is cleared, there is no real user control for this feature so it kinda sucks, but every now and then it's helpful :)

You might try this ..

Fresh Download is an easy-to-use and very fast download manager software that turbo charges downloading files from the Internet, such as your favorite software, mp3 files, video files, picture collections, etc.

Unlike any other similar utilities, this software is 100% free, no charges, no banners in the software (which steal your bandwidth) , no spyware.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
