What software is the best for downloading an entire website? Free would be preferred, but I'm willing to shell out a few bucks if it's the best thing out there.

It's the dude from Iron Chef, with a makeover.

come on guys hes just taking a bite out of an apple

wtf has happened to this thread??

and yes wget is your best option

Firstly that depends on Frontpage extensions being enabled on the server. Its also designed for working with your own website, not other peoples, and is a very poor replacement for using FTP to transfer files with your hosting.
Secondly, its not free which was a requirement mentioned in the first post.

Finally, Frontpage should never be used, ever, for anything, by anyone...

LOL! Never used it, but I'll take your word. Not a big fan of frontpage, I see.

No one should be, unless you work on the Office team :p

Two reasons, offline browsing or stealing images like crazy. :)

I did it so I could look at all the little gamers comic strips without having to reload a new page everytime :p

Redundant Backups, I assume.

And everyone else, there is nothing wrong with FrontPage. I use it for some of the sites I maintain because it's just easier to do it that way, and so does Paul Thurott.

Personally, if I had to use something besides Notepad, I would use Dreamweaver.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
