Partition your hard drive, install 98 or me on the primary (C:\) partition, then install XP to one of the other partitions. Here's a link to an article about dual booting:
don't recommend boot magic listen to lonman and just keep it nice and simple less headaches and no 3rd party software to contend with...also do a search in this forum for duel booting its been covered to hell and back.
Keeping it simple may be a valid argument but the fact is that I see dozens of posts every day from dual booters with MBR probs and I boot ME, 98SE, XP, and Linux with BootMagic with absolutely no problem.
