To tell you the truth thats the first thing I did notice on that site. The secound was that they had no version 8 for Mac and then the site somehow closed. hehe

I think 8 for mac is a way of yet. When I was there jan/feb 04 they'd only just gotten java on the mac beta of 7

I'm pretty sure I can survive without Opera8 for now... well, forever.

As for the super-hero guy, I wonder what the hell they were thinking when it was decided it would be a good idea not only to humiliate the poor guy by making him dress up like that and take pics, but also to use that on their front page.

Probably thinking of something just damn silly that would bring them traffic. I think it has worked, how many clicked the link that hadn't been to the site before because they wanted to check it out because they hadn't already seen it?

Nobody on the Opera development office here seems to know where that guy comes from or why. Must be the marketing people in Norway.
