Doom III on XBOX

" The PC mega-shooter is still coming out on the pc this holiday as planned but my spies tell me that the next stop for this stunner is on the Xbox... exclusively. Word has it that Microsoft is in negotiations with the game's publisher Activision on securing this title for xbox and xbox alone. According to reports , Microsoft is offering marketing dollars in exchange for a minimum of six months exclusivity and new multiplayer feature that didn't make it into the PC version. My spies tell me that this deal could be done by E3 and that the game is already playable on our super system(XBOX). It doesn't hurt that apparently the game tech isn't awfully compatible with the aging PS2 hardware."

Is he saying that the pc version will not have the multiplayer. As in the AL*A ver of the game I see the blocked multiplayer menu.

doom III is not a console game I doubt we will see it as huge as it will be on geforce fx 5800 ultra or ATI9700-9800pro.
what I have seen on the alpha vrsion makes me think that doom III is a single player mode only!

They said that they were going to include your classic deathmatch and capture the flags modes initially. I wonder if they changed their minds...?
