I am just wondering if XP has any type of web server with it?

Windows 98 has personal web server, a very scaled back version of IIS. Of course Windows 2000 has the full featured version of IIS.

I know that WindowsXP is supposed to be similar to Windows 2000. Does that mean that XP Pro will also have IIS as a part of it? I cant seem to find any information on this on the Microsoft web site. But then again, who can find anything they are looking for on that site?

Thanks! :)

for now i am using Xitama... its free and has both web and ftp server. the web server works good, but i dont know if i like the ftp part of it.

Good luck!

XP has the latest IIS ... it is not installed by default

You have to go to Add/remove programs > install windows Components >> and choose IIS

Have your CD handy
