Does Steam Game stop working when no internet?

Hi all,

I am wondering,

If I am playing a game off steam, and during gameplay, I lose my internet connection, does the game quit working?

I have actually never had that issue. Though I believe it should continue to play.

That of course is for Single Player games only. And for certain games like some Ubisoft games where they need a constant connection to validate your keys, that might have an issue.

If internet for the game then obviously you can not play without the internet connection.

I play only single player games, no online stuff at all.

Some Single Player games need a constant connection for authentication, I believe only some Ubisoft games, those will probably have an issue in Offline mode with Steam. Then again I don't have any experience with that.

All other Single Player games (and I mean anything with a SP mode, even if it has MP) should work. All you need to do though, is unplug and find out.
