I currenty have an old Alienware computer that I got back in January 2003. I am wanting to go ahead and trash the Alienware case, and go with a Thermaltake case with temperature monitoring and all that good stuff. I am not for sure what model my mobo is just yet... it is stuck in a hole next to my desk and I hate having to pull it out and opening it. But I will get the details of the mobo posted sometime this week (MOBO CD is for ASUS P4PE/GE / Intel 845).

I am just wondering do ALL motherboards enable you to hook up these monitors and other things to them?

Well unless you plug a cord onto your mobo from your case to read the temps of the cpu, NB, etc (I don't think mobo's have that) you can't get the temp from them. I have a case that reads the temp but its just for the heat inside the case and not the cpu or NB.

I may be total wrong :p

These digital readouts control fan speeds and such, so I am sure they plug into the motherboard some how

The ASUS P4PE has onboard temperature sensors, download the ASUS Probe utility from their site.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
