Anyone got any decent suggestions for a lightweight distro for use with an old P100 laptop? Just want to be able to use it to browse the web.

Slackware is probably the easiest to use. Just keep the services you want to run (http, identd, pcmcia, etc) and turn or to a minimum to conserve on memory use. on the other hand you can just use a bootable CD..I like ubuntu irs pretty good...for a nice small distro "damsmalllinux is perfect for that p100...DSL

here is a list of bootable CD Linux distro's hope it can help out...:)

Doh, tdinc beat me to it. I was going to suggest Slackware as well, and a backup of DSL. :p

Hmmm, looks like two things to look into... Time to finally play with linux a bit more in depth.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
