display on web pages in win xp home

im trying to find out why when i view web pages with ie 6 and win xp home edition i keep getting little boxes with white backgronds and little red crosses in them i think its where the pictures are suppose to be,i keep having to refrsh the page this didnt happen before
im using nvidi 29.42 drivers fore my g forec2 mx400 card i have also been into ie advance options in tools and made sure that the option for display piture place holders isnt checked..
can any body help

Do you by any chance use a firewall called ZoneAlarm Pro?

If so, turn off the portion that is to prevent Pop-up Ad's. I had exactly your problem - until I shut this function off.
