Disk Cleanup problem

Whenever I run Disk Cleanup it starts the process and then locks up. It seems to be stuck in the 'old compress files' section. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?😕

Might be a shot in the dark but maybe try running the disk clean up in safe mode

Probably a file or a folder or a dll is corrupt, I have had problems, I usually run sfc /scannow with XP CD in the tray and have got the problem solved. If not just do a repair installation. I am sure it will correct without touching your saved configurations.
