Here's a quick tweak to disable that annoying "Send error report to Microsoft" whenever an application crashes.

1. Open regedt32.exe

2. Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\CrashControl

3. Set SendAlert to 0

that's it!

good stuff, but why would you NOT want MS to know about an error??

stuy_b,

Because I am not a big fan of sending anyone detailed information about my computer, including Microsoft. Next time you get an error, just click on "click here" to see what's in the report.

Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

Restart Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Please tell Microsoft about this problem.

We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve Microsoft Internet Explorer. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous.

To see that data this error report contains, click here.

For those who prefer not to go into the registry:

System Properties
Advanced Tab
Click on Error Reporting Button
Put a tick in Disable Error Reporting

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
