disabling active desktop

Hello.
I tried to reach the forum (or thread) which specifically deals with this matter, but I couldn't find it! Sorry!

I'd like to know the way to disable Active Desktop on my system. I have this other customizing program, Desktop X, which asks me to disable AD before running it.
In WINME, I know this could be done by right-clicking on the desktop, but now on WINXP I can't find it.
Thank you.

Start / Run / Regedit

Navigate to the following two registry locations and in each one create a dword value of:

NoActiveDesktop

and then double-click it and give it a value of 1

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Or run group policy editor and navigate to the following area:

User Config
Admin Templates
Desktop
Active Desktop
Enable Active Desktop = Disabled
Disable Active Desktop = Enabled

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
