Hi Guys,

How do I disable the logging on screen when Windows XP Pro boots up. I presently have no password in it, and I just click "OK" to continue. I would like it to just go straight to the desktop.

Thanks in advance.

Download and install TweakUI from the Microsoft website (here), then open up the program. Click the + sign next to "Logon" and click AutoLogon. Tick the box and set your username. Restart and you're set :D

I'm 90% sure that with only one user on XP disabling this will just skip the login process and go straight to the default users desktop.

Control Panel >> Users Accounts >> change the way users log on or off >> disable 'Use the Welcome Screen'

How to do it without TweakUI:

Start -> Run -> contol userpasswords2 -> uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
