Disable the logging in screen

Hi Guys,

How do I disable the logging on screen when Windows XP Pro boots up. I presently have no password in it, and I just click "OK" to continue. I would like it to just go straight to the desktop.

just download tweak UI and click auto log on.

Download and install TweakUI from the Microsoft website (here), then open up the program. Click the + sign next to "Logon" and click AutoLogon. Tick the box and set your username. Restart and you're set 😀

I'm 90% sure that with only one user on XP disabling this will just skip the login process and go straight to the default users desktop.

Control Panel >> Users Accounts >> change the way users log on or off >> disable 'Use the Welcome Screen'

How to do it without TweakUI:

Start -> Run -> contol userpasswords2 -> uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
