Direct3D games restarting Windows XP

Are there any PCI cards next to it on the board. If so try moving your PCI card to another slot further away to allow additional air cooling.

Have you had this problem right from the start or has it ever been OK.

Another thing to check , run DXdiag and see if AGP Texture Acceleration is enabled in your display section. If it isnt that causes problems. Let me know if it is faded out and cant be enabled and I will tell you how to get it enabled and that may solve the problem

The reason why I mentioned the 40.72 drivers is because my problem only happened after SP1 was installed.

I originally had the same card as you up until a couple of months ago and only had the problem with one set of drivers and rolling back solved the problem.

Since installing SP1 the problem occurred no matter what drivers were installed with the exception of 40.72 with the fix

I've already moved the PCI cards away from the video card and the AGP texture acceleration is enabled in DXDiag.

Here the problems have started before I install the SP1, I've installed the SP1 because I was thinking that maybe it would fix the problem.

When I have some time, I'll try to make what jonocainuk said and see what happens.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
