Did Windows Update Kill The P2P Star?

Hey all,

I'm on Roadrunner. Just got bumped from 3Mb/256 to 5Mb/512. All was going good until last week. Since then I download like a mad man (I've hit 600 k/sec) but my upload is crap. I'm on testmy.net and I usually get an upload rate of 1-10 k/sec, that is if I get a score at all since sometimes it won't load jack. Around the time I noticed the slowdown, autoupdate had put a bunch of MS patches on my system (like 13 I think). Now I know its the fashionable thing to blame MS for this but I honestly can't think of any other changes to my system in the past few weeks. Has anyone else had similar problems with the last batch of updates or does anyone have any good ideas? Incase you're wondering I'll list the obvious off to save people the time of posting it:

MS Antispy shows nothing, same with AdAware and Hijack this.
Norton is all clear
I've tried the test in both IE and Firefox.

I have all the patches and they have not affected my connection at all.

I have a 3Mbps/256Kbps connection and just got these scores from link you posted:

I just checked it again, this time out of safe mode and a 2nd time in normal mode with ZoneAlarm off.

Connection is:: 4309 Kbps about 4.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB)
Download Speed is:: 526 KB/s

Connection is:: 20 Kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 97 KB)
Upload Speed is:: 2 KB/s

Strangest thing huh?

The numbers are a little better but Azureus is still slow. I've been seeding a file for 3 days and only uploaded 50 megs. There are tons of leachers too so I know its not something simple like that. Roadrunner tech support (haha) says it could be my router. Why they say that I have no idea but I unhooked it and tried it as well. There was no improvement.

Since it seems like your connection is normal, a couple of questions you could ask yourself are ... are you connectable in Azureus? Have you changed the default port? since a lot of ISPs throttle the default BT ports.

i have 5mbps with roadrunner and i get almost the same speed tests as u

I changed my default listen port and reset my minport, maxport & forwarded them as usual and once again I am connectable. The files just aren't seeding and my ratio is slipping because of this. I was hoping this was software related cause than I know there is a solution, if its just the trackers or something than I'm out of luck. Thanks for everyones help.

Roadrunner here also. Download speeds are usually very high, but
uploads are terrible. I also just downloaded a batch of 12 MS updates tonight.
I notice that with testmy.net, every consecutive test I run, regardless of if it's
an upload or download test, returns slower and slower results.
