Dial Up connection

I have no idea if this question has been asked before I could not find one in the search soooo...

I have tried a few times to set up a dial up connection to my isp *compuserve* without having to use the compuserve software to connect but i have failed to get it to work. i was wondering if this is even possible and if it is could somone give me some help. Thx

No, generally ISPs like Compuerve, America Online (AOL) and MSN require you to connect using their software. You cannot use standard dialup networking to access these services.
