DHCP Leases

Does anyone know how to change the length of a DHCP Lease from the default of one week in windows XP?
I want to shorten the time period because I often connect my work laptop (running Windows NT 4.0) to my home network and I have to release the lease on the current IP address before it will work at work.
I already tried to add a batch file to my work laptop to release the lease, however, since I am only a user on my laptop, I do not have sufficient permissions on my laptop to release the ip address unless I log in as an administrator.

DHCP lease is determined by the DHCP server, not the client.

I am aware of that. My Desktop is the DHCP Server (using the defualt Internet connection sharing) that is in Windows XP. However, I can't find out how to change the length of the lease or for that matter the IP range list.

You didn't specify that your pc was the DHCP server :p But no there is no way to change the default lease for XP ICS.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
