Detonator Problem

I and a great deal of my friends have a problem with the 40.xx series detonator drivers. Every game works fine with the drivers except HalfLife, hence Day Of Defeat, CounterStrike, etc no longer work also. The game grinds to a halt when you have any sky in view and a lot of the graphics in-game are screwed. The only drivers that are fine with HalfLife are 30.8x.......

Any ideas?

Please help 'cause the the 40.8x features rock.

System as follows...

AMD XP 1800
Leadtek GF4 Ti 4200 64MB
256 DDR Ram
Leadtek nForce mobo

Do the omega drivers compare in features to the Detonators?

If so, where do I get them?

I have tested the 41.09 and 41.04 drivers and for me half-life and All mods work fine...in fact i have no problems with either driver,will have a look in half-life forums for other causes.
