Evrytime u custimise a folder or make it have a certain icon the desktop.ini is made... ok. i am and advanced user so i like to have the hidden files shown, is there anyway i can have the hiden files showing but all the desktop.ini's hidden??? it really makes me mad!

Hmm sorry man, don't think there is a way to hide just one specific named file while viewing all the others. There might be a 3rd party program to do it, but I can't seem to find any native XP feature to

Choosing 'hide operating system protected files' should hide them

Yeah, just hide 'protected system files.' What's the point of looking at them anyway? You can't delete them so why look at 'em.
