As you may know, Data Execution Protection is found in AMD64 machines and Windows XP.
However, what I would like to know is do we actually need to enable it in Windows if we have an AMD64 processor/machine. I ask this because if I have Pinnacle software installed on my machine, Windows DEP kicks in everytime I browse a folder which contains a video file and terminates any application that may be trying to access the folder.
It's very irratating because this always happens and only when I happen to open a folder that contains a video file (while Pinnacle is installed on the machine).

yes you do. you can add oinnacle to the excetpions list thoug if you need to. but really you should update pinnacle so that it doesnt try executing code in non-executable areas of ram.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
