and there is no where to check or uncheck layer so i dont know if that is the problem. i am using psp ver 7.04

Some damn fine icons on your site
I tried to follow your tuturial to make one or 2 of my own.
But I am a complete n00b at this and got stuck at the point where it said "Next Add your icon or picture in the layer called 'Insert Icon or Picture Here'. Usually, a 32x32 sized icon or pictures is best for Dented Icons. "
I just couldnt find where to do that using Photoshop 6.
Can you explain to me please.

Well, basically, you have to get an icon or picture into photoshop. You can do this using Gif Movie Gear For Icons. Open up the icon with it, and export is as a PSD. Hope this helps.

Open up the icon or picture you want in GIf Movie Gear. If you have opened up an icon, delete all the sizes except the largest one. The go to File>Export As>Photoshop PSD.

sorry dude but I feel really stupid...... I just do not know how to insert the picture into the layer....... the only way I can even put a pic in there is by open both in Photoshop and draging one into the other.. that however creates a new layer..... How do I insert a picturte into a layer...... I am using photoshop 7

just delete the empty layer thats already there, just make your the dragged layer is in the middle...

thanks dude... what I actually did was use the magnetic lazzo tool to grab the pic I wanted in the icon and pasted it into the other layer... that worked.... thanks again
