Hey guys,

I just got done working on reformatting a friend's laptop. He did provide me with ALL of the CD's that came with it. Unfortunately, going through all of the CD's, as well as the website it still seems that we're missing some crucial software. There are no applications (besides Windows of course) to burn information to CD's. Furthermore, I'm used to Dell installing Cyberlink software in order to play DVD's and such.

I know there are some free applications out there to do both, but I'm trying to get this laptop as close to norm as possible. Any ideas?

XP or Vista? Vista comes with built in DVD codecs so...Other software is not really needed to view DVD's They partnered with Sonic for the burning software so you can usually get the basic burning software from the Dell site. That being said there are some great freeware burining apps.

Thanks Falcon, and it's Windows XP Media Center Edition.
