What file system is faster at defragmenting fat32 or ntfs?

same, but Ntfs will need defraging less often so it is quicker in the long run 😉

ntfs hardly needs defragmenting, and doing it doesn't affect performance tiil your drive is pretty bad... fat needs it just about every night for performance sake...I guess that means the answer is ntfs.

edit

henyman got his anser in before mine...he's been mighty quick lately

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
