Default Password for XP

XP keeps asking for a password. There was never one set. Even when you try to go into "Recovery" it ask for a password. What happened was my brother recieved the error about windows couldn't start because one or more files were corrupt. So I sent him the fix. He fixed it, then he started to mess around and so when he rebooted then all of a sudden it started to ask for a password. I am wondering what is the default password.

There is no default password set by XP that I'm aware of.

Try just a blank password. Don't type anything and hit OK. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to format the drive and start over again.

alternitvly does it ask u for a password when u go into safe mode?

when exactly does it ask u for a password?

can u get into the bios settings?

when you need to supply the admin password or whatever it is called to get into recovery console or whatever it is called, just leave it blank and push enter.
