I'v been looking all over the net for the default font for linux (ubuntu). I want to install it into Windows. Does anybody know where I can find this font?

Someone on this forum posted it about ayear ago. I know someone must know.

It is probably not a TTF. You can probably find out by checking the preferences, there should be one for setting the font.

You'd probably get a faster reaction by asking the Ubuntu forums. Hope you find out before I go find my live CD and boot it.

I think it was you last year when I asked who gave it to me.

Thanks

Maybe it's not that family of fonts, cause it's already installed in Windows. So how could it be the default font for Linux?

Some fonts are different in the different systems because of the fact that the fonts Windows comes with are copyrighted, thus Linux can't use them. That means that someone out there looked at some of the fonts that were on windows, and tried to make a font that kinda looked like it. Also the anti-aliasing on linux is entirely different causing the same fonts to look entirely different on the different systems.

So I can't get a Linux font onto windows...I'm pretty sure I did it before.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
