How do I change the default Folder icon for all folders in WinXP Pro. I tried going into the "File Types" and changing the default icon for "File Folder". I then rebooted, but nothing happens.
I preferably don't want to use any external software to do this ...

Anybody have any ideas?
Thanx guys.

XP-erience is the koolest!!

If you're comfortable hacking your shell32.dll, you can replace the icon that way. I wrote a tutorial about it here.

The screenshot in my sig shows my default folder icon - in the top right corner there are three or four folders... Easy to do once you get the hang of it. :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
