Default Administrative Password

I was asked if there was a default administrative password for XP. My friend's kid is trying to make a change and it is asking him for an administrative password.

Any help?

default is just empty, so just hitting enter should do the trick

its empty unless somone went in and changed it........

if they did a fresh install and someone changed the password during the install it will be set to that, if it wasnt set it would be blank, but as said before it could have been changed by anyone who had admin access to the PC.
