DDS plugin for Explorer

I downloaded the dds viewer plugin From Nvidia so I could view dds files from within explorer (instead of opening them in photoshop) and I can't get it to work.

The only thing I got from the plugin was a dll file. Link: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/dds_thumbnail_viewer.html How do I associate the dll with windows explorer so it will open up/preview the files?

I copied the dll to my windows/system32 folder and I registered the ddsview.dll files ( it said successful) but it still isn't working.

Anybody play with this or got it working?

Looks like all you have to do is run the installer.

DDS Thumbnail Viewer

Run the installer DDS_Viewer.exe to install

In Internet Explorer, select a local directory that has .dds files

Under the menu View, select Thumbnails

D'oh! *grumble*

I was still getting the unassociated file icon until I switched views. I feel like an idiot now.
