I'm having problems DCC'ing through mIRC. I can receive fine, but I can't send. I'm guessing this has to do with settings in the XP firewall, just like enabling Identd while using mIRC. Any ideas? What ports should be opened for DCC to work with the XP firewall? I really don't want to start using any 3rd Party Firewall programs.

Well DCC needs a port range, and XP only lets you open one port at a time. In mIRC options, under DCC Options. Make a smaller range in DCC Ports (like 6000-6010 or something). Then open every port in that range thru the firewall.

TCP? or UDP? Is there a way I can specify multiple ports for a service instead of creating a new entry for each port?

Use TCP.

The XP Firewall Does Not Allow Multiple Ports. You must forward each one indivitually.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
