dbx files

Hi

a friend asked me where he can find .dbx files its got something to do with email.

yep, goto Application Data->Micosoft->Outlook Express

Think thats right someone back this up for me

tnx but I only get to C:\Documents and Settings\Franky.COMPUTER-FRANKY\Application Data\Microsoft there is no folder called outlook express ???

it tell u exactly how to do it, also note that those files are hidden.

I think you don't need to go to application data\microsoft, but application data\identities.

In here you will find a map with a strange name, the dbx files will be in there.

Thats what I think, not 100% sure
 
tnx for the reply but in think you mean {B8E3587D-481A-4856-9CC1-C58A73AEE9C9} as a file name but there are no files in there ! the folder is 0 kb big

Franky I found them.
The dbx files are in the folder:

C:\Documents and settings\[your name]\Local settings\application data\identities\[folder with weird name]

Just replace c:\ with your drive letter, your name and the folde with the weird name.

In the folder with the weird name you will find the dbx files 😀
