DAMN floppy!! please read, and help thanks

ok, when i start my computer, then after windows xp loads...like 10 seconds later, my floppy will do somthing, like check for a floppy in it or somthing...and it's been happening since i got xp pro....

is there anyway to stop it...because i got go on my ocpmuter a full speed, untill it's finished doing what it's doing (usual takes 2 seconds or somthing)

can anyone help me, thanks

Have you disabled "bootup floppy seek" in the bios. Also If you have NAV g into their settings and adjust the drives ie: A that it scans for on bootup.

If its not your Bios I strongly bet its your AV

i do have NAV 2002 but, i don't see anything of that option...

That is Norton Antivirus. It is just scanning for a disk. It doesnt harn your drive or computer in any way, so u shoudnt have to worry about it. I dont know how to disable it, but im sure there is an option somewhere

Did changing your av2002 settings get rid of it? I have the same problem with xp and av2002 and I unchecked the floppy boxes and it still does it...any other thoughts?
