customized favorites in ie

in ie my customized favorites no longer stay the way I have customized them,in the past I just dragged & dropped my favorites & they stayed that way but now when I close & reopen they automaticly alphabetize .
Any suggestions?
I just recently did a format.

type favorites into the run box and hit enter

then go to view, arange icons by

switch that from "name" to "modified"

now, if you have a particular order that you don't want to change, you can go further

keep view to "name"

then rename each favorites with numbers before each one...in the order you want

bing, always in the right spot

perris - apparently i misread your instructions no matter what i do it displays alphabetly

did you try restarting oe after the change?

anyway, if that didn't work, from the same favorites from run, try tools, folder options, restore default.

also, are you doing this with administrator rights?

glad that worked, but I'd like to find out why view, modified didn't work
