Recently, when I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete I dont get the nice xp window with applications/processes/etc.. and the menu, I just get the Applications part, the tabs are not seen, neither is the menu at the top, also, there is no exit buttons at the top, If I want to exit the window, I have to right-click on the box in the system tray and close there.

Is there any way to fix this? Its making me mad as I can only end tasks that currently have a window open!

just double click an empty spot around the edge of the window

Double-Click anywhere on the border and you should see everthing again 🙂

I am not a XP expert but since XP was built on Windows NT technology....... You could do ctrl+shift+Esc and the task/process list will come up.
I read somewhere when I was at uni that ctrl+shift+esc is less stressful on the computer than ctrl+alt+del.

Hope this helps? Correct me if I am wrong as I am not an expert! 🙄

the double-clicking on the edge of window did the trick, thanks!
