Creating an unattended installation file

Hi all,

does anyone knows / owns a tutorial on how to create an unattended installation of Windows XP Professional Corporate?

If not, any bits and pieces, any tips, or any info on creating the unattend.txt is welcome

The unattended installation utility has gotten a shitton easier with XP. All you need to do is go to your XP cd then look for setupmgr.exe in the, make sure you get the dll with it too. Then just run that and it will take you all the way through.

One thing to watch is that it likes to set the autopartion flag to 1 meaning enabled. So change it to look like this

autopartion = 0

Hey EP! All good with me, applying for Microsoft MVP right now, should have done this a while ago.

Notifications don't work, I only found your response by coming back to hunt up some threads, if you want, give me your email address so we can keep in touch easier!

EP, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there!
