Do those crash prevention utilities that claim to reduce lockups, and application crashes actually work? And if they do, can anyone recommend which ones they think are the best?
if you're talking about something like Norton's shied, or whatever
the way THAT works is if something is crashing / freezing up
it detects it, and allows you to close it
which helps usually
but it's mainly just a resource hog
get a stable OS and you won't really need it
well, I'm dual booting XP and 98, XP hasn't crashed on me since I installed it in mid October, but I use 98 for games, and the internet, since it connects faster on dial up for some reason, but 98 seems to crash at least every other day.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
